We meet virtually each month to discuss topics of interest to researchers, speakers, writers, educators, librarians, and others. Whether you’re a seasoned professional or still exploring all of the exciting opportunities in the field of genealogy, we welcome you to become part of our community.
- Our Chapter promotes the objectives of APG within the Great Lakes region
and upholds genealogical standards and best practices. Each member agrees to abide by the APG Code of Ethics. - We encourage lifelong learning and collaboration between genealogists of all skill
and experience levels. We offer opportunities for skill development, enrichment, and networking. - Chapter members discuss topics of interest, ask questions, and share ideas in lively
exchanges during our monthly online meetings. We support service, advocacy, and mentorship within the genealogical community.

Members of the Great Lakes Chapter APG may accept family history research projects, speak to audiences, teach at institutes, provide consulting services, prepare lineage society applications, write for or edit publications, work as librarians or archivists, or offer other genealogical services. Each member has pledged to abide by the APG Code of Ethics. Their areas of specialty, fees, and availability vary.
